Smeet – another virtual world!

Todays article is not about Second Life. Today I want to introduce you another new virtual world: Smeet!

Smeet is a free browser based virtual world and chat community. It was founded in 2007 by sMeet Communications, a Berlin based company. In the Smeet platform, users start by creating and styling their avatars, they can give their avatars the appearance they want, from the hair to the clothing and accessories. Users can get real life brands like NBA, Gossip Girl, Rocawear and more.

Every user gets its own 3D home, which they can design and furnish with their favorite objects and furniture that they can choose from the vast list of items in the online shop. By completing tasks and solving puzzles Smeeters collect fame Points necessary to reach higher levels, the higher the level the more items and rooms they will have access to.

As rewards, users can get more rooms for their 3D homes, which range from a horse farm to a penthouse. In this virtual world users can adopt their favorite pets, from kittens and deer to even dragons.

Smeet also has minigames like Balloon Busters, Astro Shooter, Mahjong. While playing, they can challenge their friends, beat the highscores and even meet new people from all over the world. But if some don’t feel like playing, they can also meet new people in one of the many rooms Smeet has, like the shopping mall, clubs or even the beach. Because Smeet is in many different countries and therefore languages, it is easy to use the 3D chat that allows them to communicate with friends and also flirt with new people! In Smeet’s 3D world you can watch videos, movies and participate in maybe events that other users organize.

Smeet protects underage users and makes it a safe environment for them to play and communicate with others. There is also constant monitoring of conduct at Smeet, offensive, derogatory words or phrases are immediately removed and users can even be disconnected if their behavior does not follow the code of conduct.
